Over the years we have enjoyed seeing our pups grow up and bring joy to their forever homes. Here are some tesimonies and photos for you to enjoy.
Kennedy: a Serena/Validus pup

"Kennedy is my second Scotch Collie and as a puppy he was so much easier to train than my first Scotch Collie. He is smart, gentle, brave, fun personality, fast runner that loves to chase squirrels and deer, has a wonderful on and off switch, very loving (sits in my lap), great watchdog, loves to swim and ride on the bow of our boat, hike, play catch and tussle with my other Scotch Collie. I would get another Scotch Collie from the Grant's as my first choice of a breeder."

Gwaihir is an outgoing, social dog who makes friends wherever he goes and never meets a stranger. He’s quick to adjust to new experiences, highly intelligent and able to grasp new concepts in training, and he possesses and emotional intuition that continues to impress me. He seems to understand instinctively the kind of skill you just can’t teach: exactly what each person or animal he meets needs from him. He is training to become a therapy dog and currently in obedience courses. He is a favorite among all the trainers who work with him and is exceptionally well-behaved when taken into public places, always drawing attention and compliments.

Lincoln is extremely smart. He figured out how to open all interior doors and the backdoor by 7 months of age. And certain dresser drawers and cabinets. He loved the dog treat puzzles as a puppy. He herds anything and everything from the shoulder and from behind. He is really fast and agile. He can also leap. He learns commands really quickly but is an alpha so he needs a firm hand. He loves kids and other dogs and some cats. He has the collie instinct. If someone comes to the house, he figures out really quickly if I am comfortable with them and or not. If not, he gets protective. He is large and in charge all day but at night he likes to cuddle. He isn't afraid of anything large or small. And he hates coyotes. Oh and he did try to herd the neighbors chickens. That didn't work out so well for him.
Bonnie:

Our Bonnie, Grant’s Bonnie Lass of Emerald Hills is an amazingly smart, beautiful, protective and sweet dog. She is a wonderful companion and learns very quickly. She has shown great herding instinct and understanding of commands in daily life. Although we have no livestock, she helps by herding our other dog out of the doorway and into the yard when he refuses to go outside. Her innate desire to help came in handy when we had to keep the cats indoors to protect a mother Cardinal and her chicks from them until the babies could fly away. If one of the cats got outside on the deck, I would simply tell her to “hold the cat”, and Bonnie would pin the cat down by the neck and shoulders until I could come and grab it from her. She never left a mark on the cat at all.
Bonnie has earned AKC titles in Canine Good Citizen, Fetch, Rally Obedience, and Trick Dog. She has earned points in FastCat and is learning Barn hunt too. She is an extremely versatile dog. I have been told by a therapy dog evaluator that she would make an excellent therapy dog as well.
